Christian Education

Sunday School
On Sunday mornings Sunday School classes offer exciting education experiences for children, youth, and adults. Children’s classes emphasize biblical stories shared in a variety of ways. Youth continue to explore the Bible and learn to navigate the scriptures as they address issues of life and faith. The adult class alternates Bible study and discussion of current issues from a Christian point of view.

Confirmation Class
A confirmation class invites eighth graders to explore their faith from a uniquely Presbyterian perspective as they prepare for church membership.

Youth Group
A youth group for junior and senior high school students meets weekly for fellowship and to continue to explore their faith. Activities include Super Bowl Sunday Offering, assistance with the annual garage sale, collection of “care” items for soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan, Chicago Presbytery youth retreats, and allen-dance at the PCUSA Youth Triennium.

Vacation Bible School
Vacation Bible School is held for a week each summer for the children in our church as well as those in the surrounding community.

Library
The church library offers a wide variety of resources for both children and adults relating to Bible study, social and moral issues, church history, and devotional life, and also includes fiction and biographies.

Summer Camp
Summer camp opportunities are available for youth from second grade through high school at Presbyterian Camps at Saugatuck, Michigan.
